Enzo
Moretto is a degreed Naturalist specialised in Entomology.
He
has wide experience in the entomological field and he did
travel and do study all over the word, especially in tropical
country.
He
did study and research next Italian Padova Agrarian and Biology
University and Wagenigen Agrarian Holland University on insect
population dynamics, electrophysiology, biochemistry and he
is still engaged in many studies and researches on insects
and other invertebrates' behaviour, ecology and biology.
For
long time he was professionally involved in urban green management
and design and he did promoted and organised for many years
the "Flowered City" awards for Abano Terme and Montegrotto
Terme.
From
1990 is actively involved in the Italian Friends of the Earth
Association as member of the national council and coordinator
of campaigns.
He
is the Italian father of the Butterfly Houses. He did make
the first project in the 1974 ,when he was 16 old, and he
did open the first permanent living butterfly exhibition in
the 1988 in Montegrotto Terme (Padova) with the naturalist
Gabriella Tamino.
He
did realize many Butterfly House projects, Montegrotto Butterfly
House, Bordano Butterfly House, Cervia Butterfly House, as
well as many others like Genova, Monteserra (CT), Vienna,
Catania University, Collodi, the "ESAPOLIS", the
living insect museum in Padova and many documentary on butterflies.
Actually
he is the vice-president of the International Association
of Butterfly Exhibitions and Suppliers (IABES).
He
is member of the board of directors of the Padova Naturalist
Society "U. D'Ancona"
He
is Butterfly
Arc' and ESAPOLIS'
scientific director as well as Insects exhibitions consultant.
